French police have arrested a 16-year-old Moroccan unaccompanied minor suspected of raping an 80-year-old woman in the entrance hall of her apartment building in Rennes.
According to investigators, the attack took place at around 2 AM on July 4 as the victim was returning home after spending the evening with her daughter. The suspect followed her into the building, forced kisses on her, sexually assaulted and raped her, stole her gold medal necklace, and fled.
The suspect, who is legally residing in France under unaccompanied minor status and has no fixed address, was arrested by officers from the anti-crime brigade while carrying around 30 packets of cocaine hidden in his socks.
