I’ve known Sam for 13+ years, and he’s always been kind and supportive — even when there was nothing in it for him.
A little over 10 years ago my previous company (Teespring) fucked up our finances and were in an unexpectedly bad spot financially. I called Sam and within 2 minutes he said “don’t worry I’m wiring money now”. We hadn’t talked about terms, there was no contract… he just wired the money over that day and said we’d figure out the details later.
Even these days, where Sam isn’t an investor in my new co and has an insane amount of things on his plate, he still finds time to reply to my texts and emails.
That’s my experience of Sam. He’s someone who defaults to trusting and supporting people.
