the guys who pour too much XP into the four lifts at the top of this image basically never get physiques like those btw
if you have ever been to a powerlifting gym, the average powerlifter putting up totals with benches in the 300s or more, deadlifts in the 500s plus, squatting over 400, and the odd guy whose autistic special interesting is OHPing over 200
these guys, HAND TO GOD have WORSE physiques than sedentary office workers
body fat isn't even a cop-out for this, being fat is no longer meta for powerlifting. weight classes are highly competitive now and staying around 15% bodyfat is around the fattest you'll see
what this balance of exercises ACTUALLY does is under recruit the most aesthetic muscles, those being side and rear delts, lats, and arms (which bench press is not adequate for), and produces extremely ugly physiques which better resemble a man with klinefelter syndrome than what someone would envision as a "strength athlete" who sepnds 2+ hours per day lifting weights
this meme is INTRASEXUAL COMPETITION from the sorts of severely UNAESTHETIC FAILMALES who specialized too hard into the top four lifts and now are jealous of teenagers on tiktok absolutely MOGGING them to hell and back training EXACTLY the way the "retard" wojaks at the bottom are portraying
the fact of the matter is if you want to look like a bodybuilder, you should train like a bodybuilder and this comes with selecting exercises to build your body instead of build a specific number
powerlifting is fine if you don't care about how you look, but the projection from the type of person to make this sort of meme says everything
you care a lot, you poured too many years into the gym, and frankly you just don't look all that good
at least you lift some mediocre numbers on some lifts which have now lost popularity after the key lie you used to sell your sport to young lifters got fully exposed, that being that it would give them the physique they got into the gym for
"lifting now" is better, you are massively coping
