A rent that started at ₦250k in 2018 went to ₦400k, ₦500k, ₦600k, ₦750k, ₦900k, ₦1m, then ₦1.2m… and suddenly jumped to ₦2.5m.
Now the landlord wants two years’ rent upfront, and has given my friend and her family of six three months to pay or leave the house.

Some of you hate on the UK not because you’ve entered a plane before let alone travelled abroad, but purely social media narratives nd speculation…
You tell people you’re based in the UK and they react as if you suddenly grew wings and flew there at 12am..
Whereas, I have friends in Canada who relocated back to the UK because it suited them better. I also know people who genuinely cannot live in the US for reasons best known to them.
Most of your opinions about the UK are not even from personal experience, just recycled tweets and online takes. 😏😏😏
