以太坊研究员Dankrad提出EIP-7938提案，核心是要大幅度提升以太坊L1的gas限制，在未来几年内实现L1的10倍，甚至100倍以上的扩容。 从技术上看，今年以太坊计划年底推出的Fulu-Osaka升级中，包括了PeerDAS和Verkle Trees两个重要部署，其中PeerDAS可以大幅提升Blob容量（允许节点通过只验证部分数据来确认大块数据的可用性，利于降低L2成本）；Verkle Trees可以优化状态存储（显著减少状态证明大小，使无状态客户端成为可能，利于更多节点参与网络，同时利于提升gas限制或区块大小，利于在保证去中心化前提下提升L1的吞吐量，可能部署需要更长时间）。这两项升级为以太坊的gas限制增加提供了部分技术基础。 当然，这里会存在家庭用户参与方面的争议，在Dankrad看来，多数以太坊用户都是通过钱包默认的RPC来进行交互的，这里中最重要的是交易中性化（也就是抗审查，任何提交的交易都会被纳入而不会被拒绝）以及可验证性（不可篡改无法作假），后续的ZK技术会让可验证变得更容易。 这类提案说明了目前以太坊研究者也有了很强的危机感和紧迫感，以太坊在过去的Pectra升级以及计划年底的Fulu-Osaka升级都在提升L2的tps或交易成本。不过，就目前的发展态势，以太坊需要从根本上考虑其未来竞争战略。战略指导技术，而不是技术指导战略。 如果没有竞争，那么，可以慢腾腾地玩下去。但现在的局面显然跟四年前不一样了。以太坊不仅要考虑提升L1的性能问题，更要考虑如何在较短时间内解决L2流动性割裂问题，以及将排序价值等主导权拿回L1。以太坊L1/L2的架构本身没有问题，问题在于L2跟L1缺乏深度绑定关系，L1需要L2为其安全服务提供更多的价值回报，形成双方正向循环的关系，目前的状态更像是以太坊L1在为L2服务，而不是生态协同。 因此，就目前局势而言，以太坊L1扩容确实很重要，不过，比以太坊L1扩容优先级更高的是，如何在以太坊生态体系内，让L1捕获更高的价值/拿回主导权，并由此形成协同效应、网络效应。单纯只是提升L1的性能，只是把L2推到对立面；更利于以太坊发展的，是让L2真正融入到L1体系中，而不是再度制造竞争对手。 类似于基于L1的共享排序协议（如Jvranek提出Signal-boost，利用L1共识机制为L2提供排序服务的方案）、EIP-7762（基于L1的排序机制，通过L1验证者委员会为L2提供去中心化排序的方案）、EIP-7683（基于意图的跨链交易框架，允许用户在L1上提交跨L2的交易意图，由L1协调执行）、FOCIL机制（通过L1的抗审查机制来确保L2交易公平纳入，防止L2交易被L1验证者恶意排除）、Blob费用分成（L2支付的Blob费用部分返还给L1验证者或烧毁）等。 @VitalikButerin @tkstanczak @dankrad @ethereum @sassal0x @RyanSAdams @TrustlessState @ethereumfndn
