Oklo’s momentum is changing the paradigm of how we build advanced nuclear in the United States. Our Groves isotope test reactor is the only reactor built on privately owned land using commercially sourced fuel, equipment, and systems to receive Documented Safety Analysis approval under the @ENERGY Reactor Pilot Program. Oklo CEO Jacob DeWitte spoke with @LizClaman on @FoxBusiness about how this project is establishing a new blueprint for how nuclear can scale in America:

For engineers like Patrick, our Groves isotope test reactor is proof that advanced nuclear can be built differently. Built from the ground up in less than a year and on track to reach criticality this month, Groves is demonstrating a faster, more repeatable path to deployment. Hear Patrick describe the significance of this moment. Learn more about our isotopes work here:

Oklo CEO Jake DeWitte joined @MariaBartiromo on @MorningsMaria to discuss why Groves reaching criticality is about much more than one reactor. Built in less than a year, Groves demonstrates a new model for advanced nuclear: build, learn, scale, and iterate. As the fastest fully privately financed and built reactor project of its kind, it shows how industry-led innovation, supported by smart policy, can accelerate deployment while helping strengthen America's energy future and domestic isotope production. Last May, Valar Atomics promised to build a nuclear reactor and bring it online by July 4, 2026. Yesterday, their reactor went online in Utah — three days before the deadline set by Trump’s executive order to accelerate advanced nuclear testing outside the national labs. The EO’s target was criticality. Founder @isaiah_p_taylor says they went further: “We didn’t just go critical. We went critical twice.” “And we went to thermal power operations and we went to electricity production.” "We really just hit it out of the park in every dimension." Valar also just announced a partnership with Nvidia to explore nuclear-powered data centers.

We were in southern Ohio with @Centrus_Energy and local stakeholders, marking a major step forward for Oklo’s plans for a 1.2 GW Clean Energy Campus powered by our Aurora powerhouses. Fuel availability has been a key bottleneck for advanced nuclear, so locking in domestic HALEU from Pike County is a critical step in Oklo’s vertically-integrated, fuel to power model while creating new private investment and jobs in Ohio.

GREEN LIGHT FOR STARTUP: @ENERGY has authorized Oklo’s Groves Isotope Test reactor to begin nuclear operations. This startup authorization clears the facility and team to bring in fuel, run startup tests, and proceed toward first criticality under its startup plan. In just over 10 months , Groves completed engineering, construction, commissioning, development of operating programs, personnel training, and DOE readiness across all core requirements. Oklo chose the harder path to build a repeatable deployment model on private land using commercially procured fuel and equipment so future Aurora powerhouses, isotope facilities, and fuel cycle projects can build on proven deployment capabilities  instead of starting from scratch. Lessons from Groves are already informing how we build our other capabilities, demonstrating  how advanced nuclear can move faster under DOE’s Reactor Pilot Program while keeping safety front and center. Carla is Oklo’s Technical Advisor, with 30 years of experience building and operating nuclear infrastructure. Today, she's helping rebuild America's domestic supply of isotopes, starting with Oklo's Groves Isotope Test Reactor, a project that will expand domestic isotope production while demonstrating a faster, more scalable approach to advanced nuclear deployment. Hear, in her own words, why this work is so meaningful.

Reuters: Also on the test launch, the U.S. State Department has criticized China’s recent missile test launch and said that China notified the U.S. too late and didn’t give sufficient detail. The U.S. said the notification by China fell short of the standards that are adhered to by the P5 nuclear weapon states. What is the foreign ministry’s response to those remarks? Mao Ning: China has stressed more than once that the test launch is a routine arrangement in China’s annual military training program designed to verify the reliability, safety and effectiveness of relevant weapon systems. The activity complies with international law and customary international practice and is not directed at any specific country or target. The Chinese side has released relevant information in a timely manner and notified the U.S. and other countries beforehand, which demonstrates the openness and transparency of the Chinese military. The U.S. is the only country to have actually used nuclear weapons. It sits on the world’s largest and most advanced nuclear arsenal, and launches strategic missiles from nuclear-powered submarines annually. Yet it points fingers at China’s routine missile launch—a typical example of double standards and hegemonism. The U.S. needs to view the development of China’s national defense and military in an objective and rational light and earnestly uphold global strategic stability.
