Kaleidos has left the building! Our transportable microreactor is on its way to @INL's DOME facility, where it will begin full-scale testing.  Over the coming months, we'll validate commercial performance through a full-scale, full-power extended-duration testing program that progresses in 5 phases:  -Install and fuel Kaleidos  -Reach zero-power criticality  -Sustain 1MW thermal operation  -Full-temperature and full-power operation  -150-hours continuous operation  In 2020, our CEO @DougBernauer said we’d have a reactor at the DOME in 2026 - and we will!

In this interview with Reuters, our CEO Boris Schucht called for more certainty in the European Union over its approach to Russian #nuclear# fuel. Boris said it was difficult to make investment decisions when it was still unclear of the role Russia would play as a supplier in the long term. This was ultimately a decision for policymakers, he said, but greater clarity on the implementation of REPowerEU and the future role of Russian nuclear fuel would send a clear signal to the market. One-off political announcements and investment decisions won't deliver a nuclear revival. That's a key takeaway from a new @CEPS_thinktank report on the future of nuclear energy in Europe. The report concludes that durable, long-term political commitment, regulatory predictability and clear financing frameworks will be essential to turning ambition into deployment.
