When we first made contact with @Arbitrum, we were *tiny*. Freshly in private beta, probably 10 daily active users, and ~100k in daily volume. They still took us seriously: meetings, including us in audit programs, asking how they could help.
If Arbitrum had been trying to kingmake a perps product, we wouldn't have built there. Even now, we receive no special treatment from Arbitrum (outside of the occasional swag shipment).
An ecosystem without fair internal competition is an ecosystem that loses to external competition.
