I can't believe some X engineer actually sat down and implemented "play a random video as soon as the video you clicked on ends." If you implemented this without an opt-out, you should be ashamed of yourself.

The Houdini HIVE Equinox 2026 Keynote is now live on YouTube. SideFX developers, technical artists, and production guests came together for a look at Houdini 22, covering a more intuitive artist experience, production-ready rigging and animation, and an approach to machine learning that keeps artists in control. See how Gaussian splats, character effects, Copernicus, Solaris and Karma connect within Houdini’s procedural workflows – and get a glimpse of ongoing research into AI assistants. We have reached a point where we can no longer tell what is real or not. What does "real" even mean? Is this video even real? GPTARS and GPCASE debate AI slop.

NASA in 1969: "Because of the complex geometry associated with a lunar mission, it is difficult to visualize the various aspects of such a mission. The objective... is to depict what the crew will see during maneuvers and coast periods during the flight of Apollo 11..."

Starship transiting the Sun this morning during Flight 14 — prior to this morning's mission, this has never been captured before with the world's largest and most powerful rocket. I’ve ached over this shot for years, mainly for two reasons: what does methane exhaust look like silhouetted against the Sun, and how violent are the acoustic energy waves from 33 Raptor engines on the Super Heavy booster? Well...now we have an answer. 📸 - @NASASpaceflight

The occasional clouds allowed the shockwaves of Booster 21 to be visible at times throughout reentry. Incredible to think of the scale and just how fast the booster is moving! @NASASpaceflight

Holy shit this is real! And I can't wait until it becomes "normal" like how Falcon 9 now flies them so often that literally nobody cares anymore. Weird way to think about it but that is the goal.

Second iteration, going for a third one, could fix this by hand and ship it in 2 minutes. I think I solved 3D matchmove for buildings in VFX.
Saturn in near perfect seeing on September 22nd A spell of near perfect seeing on the 22nd allowed for the best session of the apparition. A small dark spot is seen in the northern hemisphere just right of centre, while some faint spokes are seen in the rings. Some of Saturn's moons are at right, while a background star is at right. The highlight was undoubtedly the view visually. I took the camera off near meridian and its probably the best view i've had of Saturn since i was last on Barbados in 2022. Remarkable stuff!

When I was 3yrs old, I got in trouble for trying to play with the family fish tank. Now, 100+ yrs later @threejs toys and experiments let me relive that fun. (3k lines of code, and I'm still adding things to the "sandbox".) 💦
