When I first started reading this I figured it was a couple dozen feet across at most.
That is a MONSTER crater. We’re lucky this hit the moon and not us!
In fact, this is SO large (two football fields across) I might actually be able to resolve it from Earth, and I will try!

A sight familiar to most astrophotographers!
By pointing the instrument at a star and defocusing it, we can check the tilt of the mirrors and adjust them. This is called “collimation” and allows us to ensure the primary and secondary mirrors are precisely aligned.

Less than 24 hours until this historic launch. Roman will change the way we look at the universe.
