Good evening frens
Beldex has secured $8 million in new funding, led by Sigma Capital and backed by NTC (NewTribe Capital), Nxgen, Digital Consensus Fund, and EAK Ventures.
Below is everything you need to know about it: ๐
The latest round brings Beldexโs total capital raised to $36 million, following approximately $28 million raised in 2023 from DWF Labs and Block Alpha.
The new funding is aimed at taking Beldex beyond its existing privacy ecosystem and into a broader privacy infrastructure layer for Web3 and AI.
With this funding
@BeldexCoin plans to focus on:
- Building a unified privacy infrastructure layer for developers.
- Supporting shielded smart contracts and encrypted identities for AI agents.
- Expanding research into Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE).
- Developing quantum-resistant consensus and cryptography.
- Building an EVM-compatible sidechain for confidential data processing.
- Launching the Beldex Extension Wallet and developer SDKs.
- Improving developer tooling, protocol security, AI infrastructure, and confidential applications.
- Expanding private cross-chain interoperability with networks including Ethereum, Solana, and Base.
- Advancing confidential assets, account-based addresses, VRF-based consensus, and quantum-safe technologies.
The near-term roadmap includes the Extension Wallet, SDKs, an EVM-compatible sidechain testnet, confidential assets, and continued research into private smart contracts, FHE, interoperability, and quantum-resistant cryptography.
As you know
@BeldexCoin is already operates a privacy-focused Layer-1 ecosystem built around products such as BChat, BelNet, Beldex Browser, Beldex Name Service (BNS), and its wallet, alongside private transactions and masternode-based Proof-of-Stake.
The next phase is more developer-focused.
The goal is to give developers the tools to build applications where transactions, identities, communications, AI activity, and sensitive data can remain private by default without making the user experience unnecessarily complicated.
Sigma Capital Managing Director and CEO Vineet Budki said Beldexโs long-term commitment to privacy was a major reason for leading the round, particularly as AI agents and Web3 applications create a growing need for private infrastructure.
While Beldex Chairman Afanddy Bin Hushni similarly described privacy as becoming an infrastructure requirement rather than something added at the end.
With this $8 million round, Beldex now has additional capital to push that vision from a privacy-focused blockchain ecosystem toward a broader infrastructure stack for developers, users, and AI systems.
