It's obvious that Kalshi's volume is inflated - this has been known in the industry the entire year.
They count the full value of a parlay as volume (shares) which is just unrealistic. I could open a $1 parlay that pays $10,000 with 4-5 unlikely picks.
They want to convince people to trade their sports predictions and perps there instead of Polymarket. It's a competition for market share.

all of kalshiโs volume is inflated. parlays are 61% of their reported volume and itโs all fake
yesterday they had $136M actually traded but they reported $1.91B
$1 placed on a 14.1x parlay gets counted as $14.10 in volume
48% of their parlay volume are slips with 11+ legs (moonshots that never hit)
i think they are doing this to fool investors
