And that answers the question of why the 15-hour days are worth it. Why this matters

For the last few days I have been researching 3D scanning + photogrammetry a lot.
The deeper into the tech I go, the more I realize it could very well be one of the ways to approach my art. These are fantastic tools to capture the world as it is at the current moment, and I can use the photorealism in combination with 3D compositing to build scenes that live on the border between physical and digital, and build more dreamscapes rooted in tangible reality.
