Site Acceptance Testing on site today on the latching mechanisms on the #bostonbarrier# gate currently in the fully closed position with a temporary navigation closure in place till 20:00 tonight whilst we carry out the testing over low tide. All going well ✅

Summer cutting commences!
The #BostonBarrier# gate was fully closed this morning using its manually controlled Emergency Hydraulic Power Units (EHPUs) . This was the first time it's been raised since the cofferdam was removed and navigation channel opened last month.

Following today's Board meeting the Accounts have been approved the the Public inspection period commences tomorrow.
Black Sluice IDB have held our first full Board meeting which has been very successful.
It's a very poor year in Lincolnshire for Barn Owls (75% down on normal) and Kestrels (around 50% down) due to earlier weather & lack of voles. However some good South Lincs breeding highlights in recent weeks include a brood of four Bitterns, Little Egret and Long-eared Owl.
