The National Weather Service is forecasting hazardous beach conditions along the entire California coastline. Large waves, strong rip currents, and unpredictable sneaker waves can pull people into the water.
Cal OES urges anyone visiting or living near the coast to stay off rocks and jetties, remain out of the water, and monitor local weather alerts and instructions from local officials. These hazardous conditions are being caused by powerful swells generated by Hurricane Genevieve, as it moves away from California.
