Making schools take on the role of the mental health system not only reduces their accountability to perform their core mission of educating, but it confuses parents as to who’s responsible for what if they need to seek support for their child.

If any “school-to-prison pipeline” exists, it hasn’t been fixed with “restorative justice.”
Mental health-oriented approaches like restorative justice, SEL, and trauma-informed practices have simply removed the consequences for misbehavior—including violence.
Unresponsive schools are feeders to the justice system.

This is (one of many) reasons why all the “trauma-informed” approaches have it totally backwards. They’re reinforcing victimhood.
