On the final day of their visit to Jiangsu, China, the Maldivian delegation visited the Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Sciences. They toured experimental sites featuring automated farming, vertical agriculture, soilless cultivation, and seed genetic engineering. Given the Maldives’ constraints as a small island nation, we envision bright prospects for future agricultural technology cooperation between our two countries. Closing out their Jiangsu visit, the delegation stopped by Nanjing’s Six Dynasties Museum. Built directly atop an ancient historic site, it highlights China’s innovative vision for cultural inheritance and preservation. China stands ready to work with the Maldives to protect our respective histories and traditions, helping younger generations better understand our roots and heritage.
