The Finance Pod dropped an episode a few moments ago and I pulled this clip out because we actually have backwardation in the luxury car market. I’m using that term loosely because what I’m referring to is the fact that Tesla has redefined luxury to the point that a $40,000 vehicle has the mic drop features (today) that $500,000 cars and $5 million cars don’t have. In fact, none of those vehicles are close to having what a 2018 Tesla has. All of you instantly knew that I was talking about Tesla self driving. And when we look back through technological innovation, it’s exceedingly difficult to find new technology coming directly to the mainstream without being safeguarded and cost prohibited to the select few for a long period of time first. And despite these breakthroughs; we have wealthy lifetime politicians calling Elon an oligarch. You couldn’t make it up if you tried. Monumental technological breakthroughs directly to the middle class. But that’s just the start, an entrepreneurial minded person with relatively little risk capital can start a new business with a $25,000 cybercab. And that cybercab begins a business model that you can’t begin with a $1 million car. This is the most insane period of innovation (that’s ever occurred) and there’s nothing close.
