Referrals count in the combined volume, too: 20% of the volume generated by traders you refer gets added to your total. The competition also coincides with Rocket launching options, where trades earn 2x Points during September. TBH, I think options are the coolest part here. Compared to perps, options don't have a lot of competition onchain, especially once you narrow it down to venues with decent liquidity.
