What happens when you press "Request Quote" on the RFQ?
Imagine walking into a crowded market and calling out exactly what you want to buy. Every vendor hears your request. They each have a few seconds to work out their best price and win your business.
Your exact trade, whether it is one option or a multi-leg strategy, is sent to Derive’s network of market makers. Their systems immediately price it and the best quotes appear on your screen.
The more market makers competing for your trade, the better the pricing becomes. So when you press "Request Quote". An entire market starts competing for your business.
Zcash’s Ironwood upgrade activates tomorrow, July 28 at 13:00 UTC, restoring the ability to independently verify ZEC’s circulating supply.
The upgrade could also reveal whether a bug in the private Orchard pool was ever exploited to create counterfeit ZEC. As funds migrate to the new pool, every ZEC leaving Orchard will be counted. If withdrawals exceed total deposits, it would expose a supply discrepancy.
On Derive, traders are positioning for volatility: near-term call exposure is concentrated at $625 for July 31, followed by $850, $900 and $1,000 calls in August.
Informative piece from @derivativemonky on what the BTC options market is signalling this week.
Positioning remains bullish and traders appear less worried about a major sell-off, but BTC is sitting close to a key level.
Earlier this week, Multicoin unstaked a large amount of HYPE, introducing fresh volatility and speculation around the token.
How did traders on Derive respond?
HYPE traders are currently long July $75 calls, holding protection through July $45 - 60 puts, and positioned for more upside through September $100 and $110 calls.
Asymmetric bets are where options shine.
Markets are giving the CLARITY Act ~30% chance of passing, with August 7 as the deadline. Traders are positioning around this event.
For July 31, they’re net long BTC/ETH/HYPE at $72k/$2.2k/$80 through calls, targeting an early breakthrough.
By August 7, positioning becomes increasingly defensive, holding some puts against the risk that it gets delayed.

What happens when an agent hallucinates and places a bad trade? As more AI agents come onchain, they’ll need risk controls built in.
Agents using @Chance_ can trade options and perps on Derive, with every proposed action checked against the user’s intent before execution.
Your AI agent is one hallucination away from draining your account. We make sure that never happens.
Introducing Chance - the trust layer for AI agents that move money.
At its core: an independent AI judge that verifies every action against your actual intent, and blocks hallucinations, prompt injections and off-mandate trades before funds move.
Propose → verify → execute. Pass = executes, fail = nothing moves. Every verdict lands on-chain as a provable receipt - and every verdict makes both your agents and the judge sharper.
Battle-tested on our own prediction-market app. Now open to the ecosystem.

Good breakdown from @0xTindorr on what the options market was showing before the move.
HYPE broke through $65 and suddenly all those 70/80/85 calls on Derive look a lot less ambitious.
