Recently, I’ve been struggling.
I have a vision for where I want myself and my family to be, financially.
And I think in that financial pursuit, it’s easy to lose sight of the impact of my familial duties.
Today, Amara struggled at Jiu Jitsu. She was unmotivated and irritable.
I didn’t gas her up and tell her she did well, because quite frankly, she didn’t lol
But I told her she could try again tomorrow, that she has to still be kind to herself and that getting better/stronger means that she’s going to have to push herself to do difficult shit.
In keeping myself accountable and showing Amara that I can chase and achieve a dream, I like to believe I’m instilling in her the confidence to do the same.
Reminding myself and (maybe) others that you can have a profound impact that isn’t measured in dollar signs.
