In “The hack that broke Ethereum comes back to save it: The DAO Returns,” Pol will explore how TheDAO Security Fund identifies security needs across Ethereum, turns them into targeted RFPs, finds teams to take them on, and coordinates funders to support work that might otherwise remain unfunded. What if cross-chain assets could arrive before the proof does? Alfred Lu @murmurlu, Blockchain Developer at @imTokenOfficial, returns to ETHTaipei this September. Alfred spoke at ETHTaipei 2025, and his work spans Layer 2, ZK proofs, and account systems. In “Assets First, Proofs Later: Building Verifiable Cross-Chain Intents with OIF,” he’ll demonstrate a fast-fill intent between TVM and EVM, where solvers deliver assets first while Hyperlane carries the proof back for OIF settlement. Hao Chen, Staff Scientist at @CertiK, joins ETHTaipei 2026 to talk about moving smart contract security beyond finding bugs to proving they don’t exist. Hao builds formal verification toolchains for smart contracts, DeFi protocols, zkVMs, and systems software. Previously, he researched systems verification at Yale University, including CertiKOS, and holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science. In “Beyond Finding Bugs: Proving DeFi Safe,” he’ll explore how formal verification can turn key security properties into machine-checked proofs, walking from an informal idea to a formal specification, a counterexample, and finally a proof.
