The content codes are shifting - lo-fi talking head content is overwhelming for audiences, and the cycle is turning to art direction. This is the playbook I’m working on for my own content and in my community, and I’m testing some new workflows in @FlowbyGoogle that I’m going to share soon. #GooglePartner# Features may vary by Google AI subscription tier, platform (web vs. mobile), and region. 18+

If you want your Google Flow creations to maintain the same look and feel, start by defining your visual style. Here’s a workflow to try: 1. DEFINE THE STYLE: First, establish the lighting, environment, mood, color palette, and texture. 2. BUILD THE IMAGE SYSTEM: Use that base style to generate your core assets, like hero shots and environments. 3. MOVE TO VIDEO: Once the image system looks good, use this as the foundation for your video clips. 4. EXPLORE VARIATIONS: Shift the framing, scene, or focus without losing the core look of your original generations. Show us how you lock in your look. Tag us so we can showcase the best examples of visual consistency!

Our final story in The Small Brief. 🎬 Tiffany Rolfe, Chair and Global Chief Creative Officer of R/GA, collaborated with Shelter Island South Ferry, bringing 200 years of the Clark family's archival photos to life using Google Flow. Thanks Tiffany for the partnership. Tiffany’s film visually chronicles the Clark family's enduring promise to their community since 1833, showing the ferry’s journey through changing seasons, frozen waters, everyday crossings, and final homecomings. When asked about her creative process and Google Flow, Tiffany said, "this project showed me what's possible when a powerful story meets new creative tools... you can create something cinematic without losing the humanity at its center." Tiffany Rolfe would like to extend a special thanks to the Clark Family of the Shelter Island South Ferry and the Shelter Island History Museum.

Welcome back to The Small Brief. 🎬 Today, we're catching a look inside the creative process of Jayanta Jenkins, Head of Creative Studio at Thumbtack. Jayanta chose to spotlight ARCHANGELS, an organization supporting caregivers, a role he knows firsthand. Using Google Flow, he built his film around the phrase "See Yourself." Thanks Jayanta for the partnership. Jayanta created a poignant visual metaphor of a mirror, where the protagonist sees the reflections of everyone they care for before finally seeing themselves. When asked about his creative process and Google Flow, Jayanta said, “Flow pushed the craft further and faster, but human judgement made the final calls.”
