When Ohioans are struggling to make ends meet, government shouldn’t make it worse. I commend @VivekGRamaswamy and our legislative leaders for offering a smart plan to temporarily suspend the state gas tax, while still protecting our long-term investment in state infrastructure. As a former Senate Transportation Committee chair, I know our highways, roads and bridges are the backbone of Ohio’s economy. But roads don’t matter much if you can’t afford to drive on them. Fortunately, Vivek has laid out a proposal to hold our transportation priorities harmless while helping Ohioans with some much-needed relief at the pump. As Auditor of State, I’ll partner with him to aggressively pursue Medicaid fraud and other government waste that will help cover the cost of this critical relief plan. Let’s get to work on helping Ohioans get to work.
