National Night Out was founded right here in Montgomery County 42 years ago. Since then, it’s grown into a national movement, bringing communities together and building trust between law enforcement and the people they serve every day.
It was great to be back with the Abington Police Department tonight for their 25th annual Pre-National Night Out block party.
To our local law enforcement — thank you for all you do to protect and serve our communities.

BREAKING: Donald Trump is once again trying to impose his disastrous and illegal tariffs. So we’re taking him to court — again.
The President’s tariffs have injected unnecessary chaos and confusion into Pennsylvanians' lives — and have raised prices across the board for our farmers, small businesses, and families.
We’ve won in court before to protect Pennsylvanians from the costs of Trump’s disastrous trade war — and the Supreme Court has already ruled his tariffs unlawful — so now we’re going back to court to stop him yet again.

BREAKING: Donald Trump’s illegal tariffs were just struck down in federal court after we sued the Trump Administration… again.
His tariffs do nothing but cause chaos and raise prices for our farmers, families, and businesses.
I’ve already gone to court to protect Pennsylvanians from the costs of his disastrous trade war — and if he continues to refuse to follow the law, I’ll do it again.

BREAKING: I’m suing the Trump Administration to prevent them from misusing the private, personal information of Pennsylvanians who receive temporary assistance benefits from our Commonwealth.
Pennsylvanians entrust our Administration to protect their private information when they apply for services — we’re not going to let the President seize your information for his own purposes.

The public servants who work for our Commonwealth go above and beyond to deliver for the good people of Pennsylvania — and it’s a privilege to work alongside them every day.
This week, we came together to celebrate them and say thank you.

BREAKING: I’m suing the Trump Administration to prevent them from jacking up your health care costs.
Last year, Donald Trump and Congressional Republicans refused to extend the ACA tax credits — as a result, more than 170,000 Pennsylvanians have been forced to drop their coverage because they can no longer afford it.
Now, the Trump Administration is attempting to let insurance companies charge you even more. We’re suing to stop them.

Today, I visited Lehigh County Crisis Intervention to meet the people on the front lines who provide mental health services to Pennsylvanians who need support.
One of those critical services is our 988 hotline — a number Pennsylvanians can call or text 24/7.
Demand for 988 services across Pennsylvania has grown by 110% since 2022 — and last year alone, staff across Pennsylvania's fourteen call centers fielded 145,000 calls.
LCCI’s 988 crisis center opened just last year — and now, callers from the Lehigh Valley can get 24/7 help from someone who lives in their community.
That has made a huge difference — it has literally saved lives. That’s why we fought for, and delivered, $10 million in dedicated state funding for 988 for the first time ever in this budget.
Because here in Pennsylvania, we believe your mental health is just as important as your physical health.

This is the exact wrong way to do development here in Pennsylvania.
I’m a hell no.
Our work to grow our economy, cut red tape, and make Pennsylvania more competitive is paying off.
We just jumped four spots in CNBC’s Top States for Business rankings — that’s the highest we’ve been ranked in 15 years! AND we’re the top state for business in the entire Northeast.
We’ve put the work in over the last 3.5 years, and the business world is taking notice.

Today, I was at
@GEVernova in Washington County to announce their $166 MILLION investment to expand their manufacturing footprint in Western PA.
This project will expand not one, but TWO of their sites in Washington and Allegheny Counties, creating over 700 jobs and strengthening our Commonwealth as a national leader in energy manufacturing.
Thanks to this investment, more Pennsylvanians will be able to find a good-paying, stable job — and GE Vernova will be able to produce more of the equipment we need to safely and reliably power our homes and businesses.
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is all in on this project — and together, we’ll continue to write the next chapter of Pennsylvania's story of energy leadership.

Pennsylvania's agriculture and manufacturing industries have powered our economy for generations — and by supporting companies like Wenger, we're making sure they continue to drive our future.
We’re going to keep investing in agricultural businesses that support our farmers, strengthen our food supply chain, and create good-paying jobs for our workers.

Today, I welcomed the family of artist, activist, and Kutztown native Keith Haring to the Governor’s Residence for a celebration of his life and the impact that he continues to have on our Commonwealth today.
Keith dedicated his life and unique artistic talents to celebrating the LGBTQ+ community and, following his own diagnosis at just 30 years old, advocating for AIDS research.
Now, nearly 40 years after his passing, Keith’s work remains on display around the world — including here at the Governor’s Residence. Each piece serves as a reminder of the work we must do to ensure his legacy lives on, and to create a Commonwealth that is warm and welcoming for all Pennsylvanians.

Today, I was proud to honor 83 Commonwealth employees with the Governor’s Award for Excellence for their public service, ability to solve problems, and commitment to getting stuff done for the people of Pennsylvania.
From making sure that our roads are safe and our air is clean, to ensuring Pennsylvanians receive the benefits and assistance they need, to working tirelessly to restore the Pennsylvania Governor’s Residence after the arson attack last year — these are the most dedicated group of public servants in the nation.
On behalf of 13 million Pennsylvanians, thank you for everything you do to serve our Commonwealth.
