It Only Takes One Pill to end a life, but it also only takes one conversation to save a life.
Today, fentanyl overdose deaths in Virginia are down 59 percent, leading the nation.
Over these last four years, Suzanne and I have been on a journey with hundreds of moms, dads, sons and daughters and siblings who lost someone to the deadly poison that is fentanyl. Along that journey we’ve worked with police, sheriffs deputies, doctors, nurses and counselors, and everyday Virginians — and what we’re doing is working.

With nearly 270,000 jobs filled in the last four years, 255,000 jobs open today, and $157 billion in private business investment bringing a total of 135,000 long-term and construction jobs, we’re at 650,000 jobs connected to Virginia’s dynamic growth.

CHART OF THE DAY: Virginia’s revenues are $1.2B ahead of forecast! The strong year-over-year increase is not noise, it’s real. It reflects strong job creation, rising incomes, healthy consumer activity, and disciplined fiscal stewardship.
Because of this performance, revenues could decline by 1.6 percent over the rest of the year, and we would still meet our forecast.
That is the strength of the Commonwealth’s financial position under our commonsense agenda — more jobs and lower tax burdens yield strong revenues.

Virginia continues to lead the way on disaster recovery from Hurricane Helene. This week, Farm Recovery Block Grant payments are going out to farmers and forest landowners across Southwest Virginia.
In September, Virginia was the first state to open Farm Recovery block grants with the @USDA. Thank you to @SecRollins and the Trump Administration for working with us to deliver support to Virginia’s agricultural communities.

CHART OF THE DAY: On day one, we promised to jumpstart job and business growth with catalyzing investments in infrastructure, particularly on business-ready sites. Over the past four years, we’ve delivered more than $550 million in infrastructure investments that have driven hundreds of thousands of new jobs and $156 billion in private business expansion. The dividends from this infusion of capital are only beginning to be paid, with 85,000 new permanent jobs and 40,000 construction jobs already in the pipeline from announced economic development projects!

CHART OF THE DAY: When I ran for governor in 2021, I met Virginia families who were waiting for developmental disability services and had become incredible advocates for their children and the entire community. We promised we would help, and we fulfilled my 2022 pledge to fully fund the backlog of over 3,700 Priority 1 DD waivers.
This has been a cornerstone of our Right Help, Right Now transformation, ensuring these waivers are funded and that we support a growing capacity of providers to deliver those services.
