Through longstanding partnerships with Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Mexico, and Portugal, the United States can call on trusted allies when additional firefighting capacity is needed. Since the end of July, a 15-member Incident Management Team and 59 fire management personnel from Australia and New Zealand are on the ground supporting large fires across the Northwest. 🚨 NEW TRADE DATA 🚨 The previous administration turned an agricultural trade surplus into a nearly $50 BILLION deficit. Now, under @POTUS, we are REVERSING course. Over the past 18 months, the agricultural trade deficit has been slashed by 42%. The year-to-date reduction reached 61% and, with the latest data, now stands at 54%. American agriculture is also setting export records: 🥜 Tree nuts UP 20%
 🐄 Dairy UP 13%
 ⛽ Ethanol UP 18%
 🌽 Corn UP 14% this year (and 35% over 18 months!) American farmers win when they compete on a fair and reciprocal playing field. President Trump is unlocking the market access they need and helping turn that access into market share. Real progress. More work ahead.

Really proud of this work. The numbers speak for themselves. It has been over two months since the first case of New World screwworm in America. Many reported the Trump USDA had failed, and a massive infestation was imminent. They said an already low cattle herd would now be decimated. But we knew different because we had been preparing for 15 months. Since then, there have only been 45 cases, and in each of those cases the infested animal fully recovered. Today there are ONLY five active cases in all the U.S., a result only made possible through our actions taken to combat NWS: 🪰 Over 600 million sterile flies dispersed 🚁 1,000+ drone flights to identify and provide data for the fly drops 📸 56,000+ wildlife observed and cleared And more sterile flies are coming online as of last week. These numbers are thanks to the constant work of our @USDA_APHIS staff as well as our countless partners in this fight. @TAHC @AgriLife @DHSgov @EPA @US_FDA This is a great start, but there is still much to do. We will continue until NWS is eradicated. 💪🇺🇸

But declining survey participation has weakened producer confidence in the data.      The farmers who rely on these reports deserve a direct voice in building what comes next. The devastation from wildfires across the Northwest is weighing heavily on all of us. I’ve been in close contact with our key Governors, as well as @SecMullinDHS and @SecretaryBurgum, to make sure we are working together and doing everything we can to support communities, families, and ranchers impacted by these devastating fires. We are working side-by-side with state and local leaders and bringing every available resource to bear to support those on the front lines. Much of the Northwest is at elevated fire preparedness levels, with 17 large fires burning amid hot, dry, and windy conditions. More than 19,000 firefighting personnel are assigned in the region to help contain these incidents. Nationwide, the @forestservice has surged resources, with nearly 6,000 personnel supporting response efforts on 102 active fires.
