They show you a raid, folks. Vest. Camera. A number. A criminal. Then they call it mass deportation. Your brain fills in the rest. You think the whole country looks like that clip. It doesn’t an hasn’t since the surrender in Minnesota. Walk to Home Depot, and look at the parking lot. If the same people are still standing there like nothing happened, you did not get mass deportation. You got a story about mass deportations. That’s the trick. Tom Homan, Rodney Scott, and Markwayne Mullin love these Obama era tactics. They only have to feed you the highlight reel. One arrest becomes “we’re doing it.” One press conference becomes “the plan is working.” The clip on TV is real. The movie they sell you after the clip is not. We need real mass deportations of the 107 million NOW!!!!

Scott Bessent gets it. He cites the real numbers, folks. A million gone from the workforce, mostly via self deportation. Those self deportations only happened when Border Patrol did interior enforcement. That created the credible risk. Kill the magnet, and people leave on their own. Volume drives the wage and rent gains. Mark Mullin doesn’t. Under his model, he sticks to “worst of the worst.” That’s directly out of the old Obama playbook where the already convicted are prioritized. Regular illegal aliens go free, and call it toughness. Result? Soft ceiling. Most stay. Self deportation stalls. De facto amnesty with better branding. Bessent measures the system that scales. Mullin sells the one that doesn’t.

With 100 million illegal aliens running around, many of whom were hardened criminals in their home country, it was never going to be neat and clean and pretty. It’s a tough mission for tough people. Bring back uniformed immigration police ( US Border Patrol) who have the requisite training, skills, abilities, and, most importantly, mindset for mass deportations.
