The change also ends so-called “collateral arrests,” sources said, meaning officers who find a criminal target alongside others in the country illegally may detain only the target.

SCOOP: An illegal immigrant from Mexico was just indicted by a federal grand jury for voter fraud, false statement in a passport application, unlawfully possessing a firearm, among other crimes. Between at least March 2017 until about June 2026, Fredy Avila Gomez allegedly devised a scheme to defraud government agencies, both federal and in Idaho, including Health and Human Services, Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services, and the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare, according to @TheJusticeDept. Gomez allegedly fraudulently obtained Idaho ID cards using a false and fraudulent birth certificate and falsely claiming to be a US citizen. He allegedly used the IDs and birth certificate to fraudulently obtain a passport, Medicaid benefits, and a firearm. Gomez also allegedly falsely claimed to be a US citizen to register to vote and thereafter voted in May 2022 and November 2024.

EXCLUSIVE from me and colleague @MaryMargOlohan : A dozen foreign-born individuals were just busted for operating fake daycares in California and stealing more than $10 million from taxpayers, @realDailyWire has learned. More than 250 law enforcement officers arrested the accused early Thursday morning and executed search warrants at their San Diego homes, which they claimed to be using as childcare centers.Eleven of them are naturalized US Citizens, while one has a green card and a pending application for citizenship. They hail from Syria, Somalia, Afghanistan, Iraq, and Sudan. Abdulrahman Ayman Alawad, a 25-year-old who was born in Syria, claimed his daycare looked after 23 children in March 2026 and 25 children in April 2026, according to the DOJ. Surveillance recordings taken during 57 days of those two months showed just one day of children coming and going from the facility, according to federal authorities. It happened to be the same day a state inspector showed up for an unannounced visit. Abdulrahman and the children showed up only after the inspector arrived, the DOJ said. Border crossing records also showed that Abdulrahman and several other defendants were not present in the US when they submitted attendance records purporting to care for children at their California centers.

NEW: ICE agents could soon be hitting the streets equipped with these electric shock gloves. The federal government plans to spend up to $20 million on thousands of "conductive distraction and de-escalation devices" by March, per a Monday Department of Homeland Security notice. The technology, known as G.L.O.V.E., or Generated Low Output Voltage Emitter, has been used by other law enforcement agencies to control violent suspects inside jails and in the field. It comes as sources within ICE have described an uptick in violence by the individuals they're trying to arrest. The company behind the product, Kentucky-based Compliant Technologies LLC, says the gloves are "not a weapon, but a device used to quickly distract with small uncomfortable electrical pulses" when making contact with skin. "The discomfort associated with the stimulation is usually effective in bringing individuals into compliance in less than three seconds and leaves no burns, marks or scars," Compliant Technologies states on its website. "The technology is safe as it does not penetrate the subject's body; while also allowing other officers to grab the individual being stimulated with no fear of feedback into their bodies. CD3 technology is a great, humane, low-optics, de-escalation solution for many situations facing our men and women in uniform today," the company says. The shocks can't pass through clothing,  hair, metal, plastic, or fur, according to the company. Agents must complete a training course before using the gloves and get recertified to operate them every two years, according to Compliant Technologies' website.
