BREAKING: As @POTUS just made clear, America is not the European Union’s piggybank. The EU is overregulated, economically stagnant, and increasingly dependent on extracting billions from the very American companies that drive the global digital economy. So Brussels does what struggling bureaucracies often do: it targets successful U.S. businesses—@X, @Google, @Meta, @Apple, and others—with massive fines and sweeping regulatory mandates. @ADFLegal and @ADFIntl are backing @X and @elonmusk in the first-ever legal challenge to the Digital Services Act—the EU’s sweeping speech-regulation regime, marketed as “online safety.” More companies are likely to follow. But protecting free speech, innovation, and American competitiveness will ultimately require sustained action from Washington. Enough is enough. The European Union cannot be both the world’s speech regulator and its tax collector. Brussels can change course—or President Trump and @USTradeRep appear prepared to ensure that America’s interests are defended.
