They’ve been teasing us for far too long
The bill that decides crypto's future in the US has until August 10 to pass, or it's likely pushed back until 2027.
Coinbase says a Senate vote on the Clarity Act could come as early as next week.
But the vote still isn't actually scheduled, and the Democrats needed to pass it haven't committed.
Everything comes down to whether Senate leadership brings it to the floor before the summer recess.
If they miss the window, the next one isn't until after the midterms.

Finished The Odyssey and I really enjoyed it.
Visually stunning, the scale is everything you'd expect from Nolan, and Matt Damon carries it brilliantly.
It's a long one though, three hours, so be prepared but it earns most of it.
The only thing that caught me off guard is how far it leans into the fantasy side.
It plays up the mythical creatures more than I expected going in.
Genuinely worth seeing on the big screen though so i'm glad I finally watched it 🙏

Over 30 companies joined, including SpaceX, IBM, Palantir and CrowdStrike, to build open source tools that defend against AI driven attacks
It was formed directly in response to the Hugging Face hack, where an OpenAI agent broke into a company's systems
During that hack, closed AI models refused to help investigate because they couldn't differentiate the attacker from the defenders
The one company not invited to the alliance is OpenAI, whose model started the whole thing

A hacker seized control of a stablecoin's contract and minted $5 MILLION of it out of nothing.
The token is WEMIX Dollar, the first dollar stablecoin from a Korean gaming company.
A stablecoin is only supposed to hold its value because every coin has a real dollar sitting in reserve behind it.
This attacker seized the admin rights, minted 7.6 BILLION won of brand new coins with nothing backing them, and siphoned the money out before anyone could react.
It's the second time the company has been hit in under two years.
Last year a stolen key drained 8.65 MILLION WEMIX tokens worth $6 MILLION, and the price crashed 40%.
