Kevin Durant, Rich Kleiman and Airbnb co-founder Joe Gebbia are teaming up with Austin-based Lobos Hospitality to launch Austin Sports Club, a new premium dining and entertainment destination opening Sept. 10 in downtown Austin. The concept reimagines the classic American athletic club through a modern lens, blending elevated dining, premium hospitality and decades of sports culture. For Durant, the project also represents another connection to a city that has long been important to him. Located at 205 East 3rd Street, Austin Sports Club is designed to bring together the city’s sports, business and culture communities for everything from weeknight dinners to championship watch parties.

I remember asking assistant coach Mo Cheeks, what’s harder to do? Workout after practice or before?? I only asked cuz by time I would get to the gym, Russ was already done in the morning and I usually got mine in after practice. Mo like, “coming in before practice is probably harder”…since then, it’s been my routine….a lot of people looked at the emotions on the court and thought Russ was loud, nah to me, he was quiet and methodical.
