They're not "migrants". Migrants go to an embassy, apply for a visa, wait their turn and then come when they're allowed. These people are *illegally* entering a European country. Given that Europe has no borders within it, they are effectively entering all of Europe illegally. And from there, since Britain won't enforce our borders either they can come here. I really hate the language that people sometimes use when discussing these issues but 50 THOUSAND people coming into a country illegally in a day can only be described truthfully with one word: invasion. These people are invading our countries against our will. If you're someone who is really concerned about the "rise of the far right", you should be calling and actively working for this to be dealt with with extreme urgency. Because if liberals don't police the borders, fascists will.

We tax cigarettes to reduce smoking. We tax alcohol to reduce drinking. We tax fuel to reduce driving. What do you think happens when you tax employing people and running a business?

Britain had a moment of silence for George Floyd. Our politicians kneeled en masse to show their outrage at his killing. "I can't breathe" became a slogan. George Floyd died on the other side of the world. He wasn't British. Henry Nowak *was* British and his treatment by the police was shocking and negligent in the extreme. Yet there is no minute of silence. There is no coordinated public campaign. There is no kneeling at sporting events. And we all know why. During the summer of BLM, some people said "All Lives Matter". This was treated as the highest form of racism and anyone who said this was immediately cancelled. Why? Because the people in charge don't actually think all lives matter in the same way. They have created a racial hierarchy of victimhood where a career criminal who died through mistreatment by police in a foreign country with 0 evidence of racism like George Floyd is automatically sanctified because of the colour of his skin. And Henry Nowak, a British man, one of ours, is automatically dismissed and ignored because of the colour of his. This is the ugly fruit of so-called "anti-racism", an obsession with race that has created a two-tier society which treats people differently because of the colour of their skin. This needs to stop.

Multiculturalism has failed. Even the politicians who pursued it now admit it. That's because diversity is not a strength, unity is. The solution to the failure of multiculturalism is monoculturalism, where all citizens subscribe to a shared national identity which is more important than their individual differences.

It means Nazi sympathisers and ethnicity-driven supremacists. And also, thanks to our irresponsible media and political rhetoric, anyone who believes in borders, biological sexes and colour-blind equality before the law. In this way, people who have nothing to do with Nazis are smeared as Nazis, ironically, to attempt to prevent them from becoming Nazis. In this way, a tiny number of actual Nazis (who hate the majority of the people who are today called "far right") are taken as evidence of the existence of a massive far right which has to be countered through censorship, visa bans and suppression. I covered the last Tommy rally and talked to hundreds of people. We encountered one person who was genuinely unpleasant (and not so much for his opinions but for being drunk and obnoxious). The rest were normal, ordinary people with opinions shared by the majority of the country. The reality is that the media who tell you the opinions the people they report on supposedly have don't actually talk to them. I saw one prominent mainstream journalist at the last protest who actually went into the crowd and chatted to people. The rest of them stand in front of a group of protestors and tell you the company line. This applies to every issue, btw. Once you see it, you can't unsee it.

I can't help thinking that if the British Government brought the energy it has to prevent the "far right" from entering the country to preventing illegal immigrants from entering the country there might not be a "far right" in the first place.

Utopia is not the standard. Reality is. Every civilisation has sins if you judge it by today’s moral standards. You can build an entire career doing nothing but listing them. That is easy. The harder question and the only one that matters is this: compared to actual, existing alternatives, who has done better? I am not claiming the West is perfect. It is not. No society is. But if you are honest about measurable progress on rights, equality, and self-correction, it is still ahead of every other major system in the world today. So stop asking "is it perfect?" That is a childish question. Ask: "compared to what?"

Life isn’t fair. And teaching children otherwise sets them up to fail. Some people will always have more. Some will always have less. The question is: Do you teach children to chase their potential or their excuses?
