Former PM @RishiSunak has written about identity, integration, and me. He means well but the argument he advances is not only wrong, it's actually helping to create the racialised Britain he is so desperate to avoid. Like him, I'd love to go back to a time when people didn't think about their identity as much as we do today. But after two decades of rabid identitarianism for minorities, uncontrolled mass immigration and with tens of thousands of illegal immigrants streaming into our country every year, we cannot go back. We can only go forward by addressing the source of our division and tribalism head on. Britain does not need more "diversity", it needs to find a way to unify people around a common cause. Pretending we're all English isn't going to do that.

The pound has lost ~40% of its purchasing power since 2020 (partly due to Covid money printing), so the number of UK millionaires “should” have increased to reflect the debasement and the increased money in circulation. But the number of millionaires has actually declined by ~60% since 2021. The wealth destruction taking place in this country is staggering. The US is growing its number of millionaires at 1,200 per day meanwhile and over 1.6 million since 2020.

Jim Ratcliffe grew up in a council house. He created a business which has paid the salaries of thousands of staff and millions in tax. You, by contrast, come from a comfortable middle class background. Your career has been in politics and think-tanks. He has done more for this country than you are ever likely to. I specifically said that speaking to friends and people we know, I can report that there are a lot (a lot, not all) of women who are not childless by choice and feel that in the joyous days of girlboss feminism they were not given the correct picture of the consequences of their life choices because instead of being taught about reality by society (by which we mean Hollywood and other movie industries, the arts, pop culture, the media, educators etc), they were indoctrinated into a worldview which has led them to a place other than the place they'd like to be. It's amazing that in the era of "we must listen to women" when you listen to women and report what they tell you, you're somehow "lying to women". As it happens, I don't think the cultural dimension is primary. I remember speaking to a villager in Uzbekistan driving me in his taxi who lamented that the next generation have fewer kids once they move to the city. My sense (not scientific claim) is that the declining birth rate has more to do with people being crammed into cities where life is increasingly incompatible with becoming a parent: extremely expensive, transient and anti-social. In the Human Zoo, Desmond Morris wrote about the fact that the same pathologies we see in human cities zoologists observe with animals in a zoo. I am not saying society's lies are why basically the entire world is not reproducing. It's just a part of it but it also matters.

Comparing that one day Berlin drop to a planned Israeli stockpile of 40,000 two-thousand-pound bombs is lazy, not a like for like measure of an attack. Operation Meetinghouse over Tokyo did kill 80,000–100,000 people and is often called the most destructive single air raid in history, but the load was 1,665 tons of incendiaries, not “1,600 tons of bombs.” Different weapons, different effect. The 7.5% line only works if you treat an arms-sale inventory as if it were already dropped in one raid. By no definition (words have meaning) has Israel done a genocide in Gaza. Not by the definition's intent or actions requirements. No actual evidence support the intent or actions allegation. The government of Israel was in a war against the terror army of Hamas in Gaza after they invaded Israel on October 7th and withdrew into Gaza with 250 hostages; they were also at war with the terror army (more equipped than many nations) Hezbollah in Lebanon after they attack on October 8th. Israel is not working to exterminate an unarmed civilian population in Gaza or Lebenon. No evidence shows they have targeted civilians. All of the Gaza, Lebanon, Yemen, Syria, and Iran fronts have contained buried and fortified targets that can justify the use of modern 2,000-pound bombs.
