Y Combinator CEO @garrytan weighed in on the AI doomsday debate when I sat down with him this week for @CNBC at demo day:
"We don't need to be responding to a science fiction sort of fantasy about what's going to happen. We need to be responding to what is happening right now. You know, if there was a breach and sort of a coordinated attempt by agents to take over our infrastructure, what do we do about it?... Like these are things that are much more tangible than sort of pie in the sky, 30,000 foot in the air. You know, all of humanity is going to die."
