Behind this seemingly simple dual-arm flower-arranging task is the continuous coordination of visual perception, language instructions, and physical action. Through the participants’ perspectives, the film explores the fundamentals of VLA and follows how an abstract model is brought step by step into the physical world—with robots, data, computing resources, development tools, and mentorship provided by TRON Camp. TRON 2 VLA Demo — EP. 3: Active-Vision Sorting 🍎 TRON 2 visually distinguishes bananas from apples, picks up each object, then turns its head to locate the corresponding placement target for precise pick-and-place execution. The demo combines general-purpose object recognition, pick-and-place manipulation, and hand-eye coordination. TRON Camp 2026 Documentary EP.02: From 0 to “Number One” At first, the name “Number One” came partly from a coincidence: they were Group 1. It also carried their hope of winning. Aiming for at least second place, and pushing for first, was their real goal over these five days. The model was still far from ideal the night before, but by the next day, it began to show promise; late-night tuning at 2 or 3 a.m. and repeated checks before the final run became the most honest footnotes to their five-day journey. The final round left them with regrets. They did not become Number One on the field. TRON 2 in Action: Autonomous Utility Tunnel Inspection TRON 2 demonstrates a closed-loop autonomous inspection workflow in a real-world municipal utility tunnel—from mapping and navigation to multi-level inspection, anomaly detection and response, and autonomous docking and charging. Equipped with the Autonomous Mobile Manipulation Kit, TRON 2 navigates complex spatial structures, adjusts its posture to inspect points at varying heights, and performs light-duty manipulation to assist with alarm response. When battery levels run low, it autonomously returns to its charging dock, supporting extended, unattended inspection operations. This real-world deployment highlights the potential of embodied AI in municipal infrastructure, industrial inspection, and other complex operational environments.

From simulation to real hardware, from the first successful run to repeated data collection, position adjustments, and motion refinement, every piece of real-world feedback pushed them to keep iterating. The final demo was not without challenges. But through repeated trials, timely adjustments, and everything they had built up along the way, Team Nenggong Zhiren eventually reached first place.
