life update: joined
@usecorgi.
2026 has been the craziest year. I parted ways with Riot Games where I was the youngest employee for 3 years, then went on a series of side quests that includes winning 100k+ at hackathons, trading options from $600 to 160k in 9 days, throwing a LAN tournament, traveling, going viral on X a few times, etc.
My reason for joining Corgi over other companies (or starting my own) comes down to the fact that I believe Corgi has a clear path to becoming a generational company.
It’s easy to dismiss or dunk on them as manufactured hype based on what you might see on the timeline. But no amount of bad PR can change the facts, which are:
is 12% of the GDP
often the largest spend for companies due to the fact that every form of economic activity creates risk need to be insured
3.Corgi has successfully captured the insurance for startups market and is rapidly expanding into other sectors
In fairness, “insurance for startups” sounds confusing at first. Why would startups even need insurance?
Here is what I found out.
1. Enterprise customers will require startups they do business with to have insurance before signing contracts (Cyber, Tech E&O coverage, etc)
2. Insurance makes sure companies don’t get fucked from product failures and data breaches (lawsuits and major losses)
3.Investors and board expects it as protection from management-related lawsuits.
need workplace injuries and employment claims coverage before hiring.
Startups aside, the broader insurance industry is massive and a perfect example of a low margin high revenue industry where any gains in efficiency reflects in millions of additional profit.
And Corgi happened to be the only major player that built an insurance stack around capitalizing on the efficiency gains of AI. It doesn’t take much to realize how much of the insurance market Corgi can capture if they have higher margins than their competitors.
Extremely bullish, excited to be a part of it all 🫡
