Now in its 60th year, Notting Hill Carnival is still bringing the Caribbean vibes to west London 🌎
Hosting one of the world’s biggest street festivals is a huge endeavour.
A big thank you to the organisers and volunteers, along with our brilliant emergency services, who will be working hard over the weekend to ensure Carnival can be enjoyed safely by everyone.

Three years on from its expansion, one thing is clear: ULEZ works.
The evidence from central London shows the real, measurable impact of cleaner air - fewer toxic pollutants, healthier lungs, and better outcomes for children growing up in our city.
Expanding ULEZ was a tough decision made in the face of loud opposition, but it was the right one for millions of Londoners’ health. Toxic air worsens asthma, increases the risk of heart disease and strokes, and shortens lives.
Leadership today means making difficult decisions, and having the courage to see them through.

London Fire Brigade is responding to a large fire on an industrial estate in Neasden. I’m receiving regular updates.

Twenty fire engines and around 125 firefighters are responding to a fire on Hannah Close, Neasden.
Residents in the immediate area should close doors and windows, remaining inside where possible, due to the large amount of smoke being produced.
