Dragon boat racing is making waves in Guangzhou!
The 2026 Guangzhou Dragon Boat Super League kicked off on August 1 in Haizhu District, bringing together 1,552 athletes from 49 dragon boat teams.
Running through November, the league is transforming a traditional Dragon Boat Festival custom into an extended citywide sporting season, blending intangible cultural heritage, competition, and local culture.
