I'm starting with my own side, because that's where the lesson is.
Republicans were handed the House, the Senate and the White House, and too many of them spent it worrying about how they'd look, who they'd offend and whose feelings they might hurt. đđ đđ¨đ§'đ đđđĨđĸđđ¯đ đ˛đ¨đŽ đđ§đ˛đĻđ¨đĢđ.
We can't keep sending people to Washington who flinch every time the other side calls them a name. đđ đ§đđđ đŠđđ¨đŠđĨđ đ°đĸđđĄ đđĄđ đĻđ¨đĢđđĨ đđđđ¤đđ¨đ§đ đđ¨ đŦđđđ§đ đŽđŠ đđ¨ đđĄđ đđĢđđŗđĸđđŦ, and right now we have a bench full of people who won't. We've seen what happens to weak people. They get rolled. Tonight, they got rolled.
Now, Democrats. You sent some of the most radical people in American politics to Washington, people willing to do things no serious party would try. In January you get the gavels. So here's my challenge: đđ¨ đŦđ¨đĻđđđĄđĸđ§đ đŽđŦđđđŽđĨ đ°đĸđđĄ đđĄđđĻ.
Most bills in the Senate still need 60 votes, and anything you pass still lands on President Trump's desk. So nothing real happens unless you work with the other side. Show us you're capable of bipartisanship. Build something instead of just investigating someone.
Every race, live:
