CNN’s panel was supposed to deliver sober election-night analysis. Instead, viewers got Van Jones grinning ear to ear over Democratic wins and declaring, “𝘠𝘰𝘶’𝘳𝘦 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘨𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘢𝘭 𝘮𝘺 𝘫𝘰𝘺? 𝘐’𝘮 𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘺, 𝘐’𝘮 𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘺, 𝘐’𝘮 𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘺.”

Chuck Schumer spent months trying to put Troy Jackson in the United States Senate. He took the meeting after Jackson’s own campaign made clear it didn’t want the national party’s help, then told reporters, 𝘸𝘦’𝘳𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘰 𝘸𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘦𝘢𝘵, 𝘣𝘦𝘢𝘵 𝘚𝘶𝘴𝘢𝘯 𝘊𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘚𝘦𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘦. It worked. Jackson is Maine’s new senator, and Democrats just got the majority Schumer has been chasing for years.
So Fox News asked Maine’s newest senator-elect the obvious follow-up: would he vote to make Chuck Schumer the Senate Majority Leader? 𝘕𝘰, Jackson said, flat, no hedge, before the panel back in studio even finished rolling the tape.
He didn’t pretend otherwise. 𝘐 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘪𝘵’𝘴 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘤𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘣𝘰𝘵𝘩 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘺 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘢 𝘯𝘦𝘸 𝘨𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘱, Jackson said. 𝘊𝘩𝘶𝘤𝘬 𝘚𝘤𝘩𝘶𝘮𝘦𝘳 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘐 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘢𝘭𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘺 𝘩𝘢𝘥 𝘢 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯. 𝘐 𝘢𝘮 𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘧𝘶𝘭 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘱 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘴 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘷𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘥, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘐 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘪𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘯𝘦𝘸 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘱.

Fox’s own panel didn’t pretend to be surprised either. They called it a brewing civil war between the party’s “normy” wing and the DSA bloc that, in their words, had a really good night. Tuesday was a brutal night for Republicans almost everywhere. It wasn't brutal in Minnesota's 5th District. 𝐈𝐥𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐎𝐦𝐚𝐫 cruised to re-election over veteran state trooper John Nagel, 𝟕𝟔.𝟓% 𝐭𝐨 𝟏𝟔%, even as the Trump administration builds an immigration fraud case aimed at stripping her citizenship and deporting her.
Since 2016, the FBI and Homeland Security have investigated whether Omar legally married one of her own siblings, 𝘈𝘩𝘮𝘦𝘥 𝘕𝘶𝘳 𝘚𝘢𝘪𝘥 𝘌𝘭𝘮𝘪, to get him a green card — while she was still filing joint tax returns with a different man, 𝘈𝘩𝘮𝘦𝘥 𝘏𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘪, whom she'd entered an Islamic marriage with back in 2002. Federal prosecutors have reportedly started referring to her in court filings as “𝘐𝘭𝘩𝘢𝘯 𝘕𝘶𝘳 𝘚𝘢𝘪𝘥 𝘌𝘭𝘮𝘪” — what sources told the 𝘕𝘦𝘸 𝘠𝘰𝘳𝘬 𝘗𝘰𝘴𝘵 is her real name.
On October 12, Homeland Security Investigations agents took the rare step of executing a search warrant on Omar's Washington, DC home less than 30 days before the election — making a covert federal probe into a sitting congresswoman suddenly, publicly real. Investigators are also looking at whether Omar or her father lied about her birthdate to obtain citizenship in 2000, and whether she and her consultant husband understated their net worth on financial disclosures.
Omar's response to the raid was to call it political targeting: ““𝘍𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘦𝘯 𝘺𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘴, 𝘛𝘳𝘶𝘮𝘱 𝘩𝘢𝘴 𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘮𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘣𝘢𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘮𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘤𝘢𝘮𝘱𝘢𝘪𝘨𝘯𝘴. On Election Day afternoon, the Ninth Circuit's full 11-judge en banc panel voted 6-5 to let the Trump administration keep demanding that California and Washington State set aside suspected noncitizen ballots. U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli didn't wait to spike the football, writing on X that 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘳𝘶𝘭𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘭𝘢𝘸 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘷𝘢𝘪𝘭𝘴. 𝘚𝘦𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘱𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘥𝘰𝘦𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘰𝘸 𝘫𝘶𝘥𝘨𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘭 𝘰𝘧 𝘤𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘦𝘹𝘦𝘤𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘣𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘩 𝘱𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘴. It took three reversals in twelve hours to get there. A three-judge panel first lifted a district judge's restrictions on the DOJ. Then the full court voted to rehear the case en banc, wiping that ruling out. Hours later, the 11-judge panel restored it anyway, 𝐩𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐭’𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐥. Chief Judge Mary Murguia, who pushed for the rehearing, dissented — insisting the Justice Department's request to flag illegal ballots amounted to voter intimidation.
The fight is over roughly 20,000 California ballots and more than 400 in Washington State that the DOJ flagged as potentially cast by noncitizens — people the government says registered and voted, in some cases more than once, while in the country illegally. States already sequester ballots routinely for signature mismatches and provisional review. The DOJ simply asked them to do the same here until citizenship could be verified.
That wasn't good enough for 𝐒𝐄𝐈𝐔, 𝐀𝐅𝐒𝐂𝐌𝐄, 𝐋𝐔𝐋𝐀𝐂 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐍𝐀𝐀𝐂𝐏, who sued to brand the request itself as "unlawfully intimidating, threatening, or coercive." The Ninth Circuit's majority wasn't buying it, ruling the executive branch — not a coalition of unions — gets to call the ball on enforcing citizenship law at the ballot box. It's the same fight playing out in the DOJ's broader Operation Protect the Vote, which has already charged 28 green-card holders across California, including a Long Beach woman and a La Puente man accused of lying about their voting history on naturalization paperwork.
The restrictions stay paused while the appeal plays out, and SEIU's allies can keep fighting in court. But on the day it mattered most, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐚𝐰 𝐰𝐨𝐧 — 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐚𝐰𝐬𝐮𝐢𝐭.

Colorado went for Democrats up and down the ballot Tuesday night, 60% to 35% in the top-line races. But buried underneath that blowout, three citizen-led ballot measures that the state's own Democratic Party officially opposed were cruising to victory anyway, according to live returns reported by conservative correspondent Ben Bergquam.
Proposition 133 would mandate 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐞 for trafficking a child for sex, up from the current 8-to-48-year sentencing range. With roughly 60% of the vote counted, it was leading 𝟖𝟔𝟓,𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝐭𝐨 𝟓𝟎𝟎,𝟎𝟎𝟎. Proposition 134, requiring school and college athletes to compete on teams matching their biological sex, was ahead by 𝐧𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝟏𝟎𝟎,𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝐯𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐬. Proposition 135, banning gender-transition surgery for anyone under 18, was winning too.
The campaign behind all three, Protect Kids Colorado, didn't get there with money. Bergquam reported the group was outspent 𝟐𝟐 𝐭𝐨 𝟏 by its opposition and says its volunteers were threatened for their trouble. “𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘴𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘯 𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘰𝘶𝘵𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘵 22 𝘵𝘰 1,” Bergquam said on air. “𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘥... 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘩𝘢𝘥 𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘞𝘢𝘳 𝘰𝘯 𝘗𝘰𝘴𝘴𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘴𝘴𝘳𝘰𝘰𝘵𝘴 𝘰𝘳𝘨𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘻𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘊𝘰𝘭𝘰𝘳𝘢𝘥𝘰.”
That's the part that makes the margins remarkable: a 22-to-1 cash gap is the kind of number campaign consultants say decides elections before a single vote is cast. The group's own yard signs were being stolen by the truckload earlier in the campaign — organizers caught one thief on camera after hiding GPS trackers inside them. None of it worked. In a state that just handed Democrats a 25-point statewide win, voters still carved out space to protect kids on their own terms.

Democrats hadn’t even finished celebrating before CNN was asking the question Washington is now bracing for: how much energy will the new majorities spend on oversight and investigations?
CNN’s congressional reporter said the answer is already showing up on social media. She called it “𝐚 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐞𝐫𝐚 𝐨𝐟 𝐢𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬” arriving as the results were still coming in, and said it 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐛𝐞 “𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐞’𝐯𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐞𝐧.”
Her first example was Rep. Robert Garcia, the current ranking member of the House Oversight Committee and, in CNN’s words, the incoming chairman. Per CNN, he posted two words in all caps: “𝘭𝘢𝘸𝘺𝘦𝘳 𝘶𝘱.”
That is the man in line to hold the gavel and the subpoena pen on the committee with the widest reach in Congress. His message, on the night the majority flipped, wasn’t about prices, jobs, or the border. It was about 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐢𝐬 𝐠𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐧 𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲.
CNN walked through Democrats’ own posts as examples of what is on their minds. Voters were told this election was about their kitchen tables. The people they just empowered are already talking about subpoenas, and your tax dollars will fund every hearing.

On election night, California’s proposed 5% wealth tax on billionaires was trailing in the vote count — and the billionaires it was built to hit had already made their move. Fox News flagged the list on-air: Google co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin, PayPal co-founder Peter Thiel, Uber co-founder Travis Kalanick, and director Steven Spielberg had all shifted their residency out of the state before the January 1, 2026 cutoff that would have triggered the bill.
Kalanick didn’t hide why the timing mattered. 𝘖𝘯 𝘋𝘦𝘤𝘦𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳 18, 𝘐 𝘮𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘛𝘦𝘹𝘢𝘴, he confirmed — fourteen days before the deadline that would have made him a California taxpayer on a slice of his own fortune for the very first time.
Forbes put a number on what walked out the door with them: $𝟐𝟕 𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐚𝐱 𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐮𝐞, gone before a single ballot was cast. Page alone accounted for roughly $13 billion of that total and Brin another $12 billion — money Sacramento had already built into its spending plans.
And now the tax itself is coming up short anyway. The same billionaire class it targeted poured more than $𝟑𝟎𝟎 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 into defeating it, and as results rolled in Tuesday night, the measure was trailing after leading comfortably just a month and a half earlier.
California tried to squeeze its richest residents and walked away with the worst of both outcomes — the money already left, and the tax built to replace it may not even survive the count. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐝𝐢𝐝𝐧’𝐭 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐝𝐨𝐝𝐠𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐥. 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐦𝐚𝐲 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐧 𝐢𝐭 𝐭𝐰𝐢𝐜𝐞.

On Election Day, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement posted a blunt warning on X aimed at anyone tempted to break the law at the ballot box: "𝘐𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘷𝘰𝘵𝘦 𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘨𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺, 𝘸𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶. 𝘞𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘥𝘰𝘸𝘯, 𝘢𝘳𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘴𝘦𝘤𝘶𝘵𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶. 𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘣𝘦 𝘯𝘰 𝘦𝘴𝘤𝘢𝘱𝘦." It was meant as a deterrent against noncitizen voting. California Governor Gavin Newsom turned it into a 𝐰𝐞𝐚𝐩𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞 𝐢𝐭.
Newsom didn't just push back on ICE — he mirrored the agency's own words and fired them straight at its agents. "𝘐𝘧 𝘠𝘖𝘜 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘶𝘱 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘴 𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘨𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺, 𝘸𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘺𝘰𝘶. Then he kept going. In a follow-up post, Newsom addressed "𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐟𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐧 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐦𝐩'𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐟 𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐚" directly, warning that if they "𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘨𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘵𝘢𝘮𝘱𝘦𝘳 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘣𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘰𝘵𝘴, 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘸𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘣𝘦 𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶. 𝘛𝘳𝘶𝘮𝘱 𝘤𝘢𝘯'𝘵 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘥𝘰𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘊𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘯𝘪𝘢 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘦," he wrote — a direct claim that a governor's prosecutors can reach further than a presidential pardon.
This is the same governor who signed a new California law making ballot seizure a felony, in the same week the Supreme Court rejected the Trump administration's bid to seize 20,000 California ballots over noncitizen-voting concerns. Newsom isn't defending an abstract principle here — he's 𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐟𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐞𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐜𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧'𝐬 𝐯𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐥𝐚𝐰𝐬.
DHS says ICE has no operation planned at polling sites. That didn't stop Newsom from telling federal agents, on the record, that his state's "justice" system answers to no one in Washington — not even the man who appoints them.

Fox News asked President Trump point blank, with the midterms now behind him and speculation swirling over what comes next with Tehran: is he going forward with more against Iran? His answer came in two parts, and the second one is the one Iran needs to hear. "𝘐 𝘥𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵, 𝘯𝘰," he said, "𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘤𝘦𝘳𝘵𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘭𝘺, 𝘤𝘦𝘳𝘵𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘭𝘺, 𝘪𝘧 𝘐𝘳𝘢𝘯 𝘥𝘰𝘦𝘴𝘯'𝘵 𝘣𝘦𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦, 𝘐 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭."
No immediate strike is planned, and the administration isn't telegraphing a timeline. But Trump made clear that the lull is a choice, not a limit, and that choice is his to revoke the moment Tehran tests it.
He laid out the offer on the table: "𝘐𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘥𝘰, 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸, 𝘸𝘦 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘴𝘪𝘨𝘯 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘶𝘱, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘪𝘧 𝘪𝘵'𝘴 𝘨𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘣𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺'𝘳𝘦 𝘯𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘨𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘢 𝘯𝘶𝘤𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘸𝘦𝘢𝘱𝘰𝘯 — 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥." That's not a threat issued in the heat of a crisis — it's a calm, post-election answer from a president who just watched his own party lose both chambers and didn't blink on Iran policy anyway.

Even as Democrats swept control of Congress on election night, voters in two states drew a line both parties’ own legislatures had refused to draw for years. 𝘝𝘰𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘈𝘳𝘪𝘻𝘰𝘯𝘢 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘕𝘦𝘣𝘳𝘢𝘴𝘬𝘢 𝘷𝘰𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘢𝘯 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘨𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳 𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘭𝘦𝘵𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘯 𝘸𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘯’𝘴 𝘴𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘴 𝘵𝘦𝘢𝘮𝘴, 𝘸𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘦 𝘊𝘰𝘭𝘰𝘳𝘢𝘥𝘰 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘞𝘢𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘵𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘶𝘴𝘱 𝘰𝘧 𝘥𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘢𝘮𝘦, Fox News reported live from the anchor desk as the returns came in.
Arizona’s Proposition 318 and Nebraska’s Fairness for Girls initiative both do the same basic thing: they write into law — and in Nebraska’s case, into the state constitution itself — that teams designated for women and girls stay reserved for biological sex. Nebraska’s measure made the ballot after organizers turned in a 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝟐𝟏𝟏,𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬, and the state’s Supreme Court unanimously threw out every legal challenge trying to keep it off the ballot.
What makes this sting for Democrats isn’t just Arizona and Nebraska. It’s that 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐨 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐖𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐨𝐧 — two of the bluest states in the country — are on the cusp of doing the exact same thing national Democrats refuse to even discuss. Lawmakers in both state capitols already k!lled similar bills before voters forced the question straight onto the ballot themselves.
That’s the real story here: the same party that just 𝐰𝐨𝐧 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐞 can’t win this argument with its own voters. Democratic legislators in Denver and Olympia buried this policy behind closed doors, so their own constituents went around them and put it directly to a vote.
Arizona and Nebraska’s results are in. Colorado and Washington are still counting — but if even one of those two deep-blue states joins them, it’s the clearest signal yet that this fight isn’t red versus blue anymore. It’s common sense versus everyone else, and in state after state, common sense keeps winning.

Florida Sheriff Grady Judd just closed out a week-long undercover sweep aimed at the men who prey on children, and he did not sugarcoat what his detectives found. 𝘐𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘦𝘹𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘭𝘺 𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘣𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘸𝘦 𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘯𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘺 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘥𝘢𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘴 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘴𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘦𝘢𝘨𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘰 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘴𝘦𝘹 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥𝘳𝘦𝘯, Judd said as Polk County announced 𝟐𝟖𝟏 𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐬 in the operation.
One of the men booked told investigators he used to zip into the Mickey Mouse costume at Walt Disney World. Judd said deputies caught him showing up to meet who he believed was a child while 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐰𝐨 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬, a detail detectives flagged as evidence of the specific fetish he came hunting to feed.
He wasn't the only one clocking in at the parks between shifts hunting kids. Deputies say 𝟏𝟕 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟐𝟖𝟏 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐭 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐨𝐫 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐨𝐬, 13 from Disney and four from Universal, all netted in the same predator and prostitution sweep. Disney confirmed to the outlet that every employee implicated has since been 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐝.
The rest of the roundup reads like a warning label. A coach for the Davenport Titans youth football team is accused of messaging girls as young as 11. An active-duty Navy sailor was also booked. And 32 of the suspects were in the country illegally, while 24 showed up to their meetups carrying firearms.
Disney can fire a man out of a costume. It can't erase the fact that a trusted character performer walked around children all day while nursing exactly the fetish he got arrested for. Polk County just proved these predators don't stop at the park gates — some of them clock in.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree on November 2 awarding First Lady Melania Trump the Order of Princess Olga, First Class — one of Ukraine's highest honors for women, reserved for exceptional contributions in science, education, culture and charitable work. The decree credited her with a “𝘴𝘪𝘨𝘯𝘪𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘣𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯” to humanitarian support for Ukraine, including efforts to help children who were deported or forcibly moved out of Russian-occupied territory.
The honor comes after Mrs. Trump personally helped broker a six-day ceasefire that evacuated civilians from Oleshky, a Russian-occupied town in the Kherson region that was on the brink of collapse. It was 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐟𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐑𝐮𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐚'𝐬 𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥-𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐯𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐛𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟐, and it let nearly 800 people escape a city where food, water and medicine had run out.

𝘈𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵'𝘴 𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘧𝘰𝘤𝘶𝘴. 𝘉𝘰𝘵𝘩 𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘴 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘰𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘩𝘦𝘳, 𝘴𝘰 𝘴𝘩𝘦'𝘴 𝘥𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢 𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘫𝘰𝘣.”
Russia didn't exactly return the good faith. Kyiv's General Staff said Moscow's forces used the humanitarian window to 𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐩𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐝 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, drawing only a shrug from Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, who called repositioning during a ceasefire “𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘢𝘳𝘥 𝘱𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘦.” Even so, the evacuation held, and Ukraine's own human rights ombudsman is already asking the First Lady to run the same playbook in other occupied towns.

Tehran didn't wait a day to claim Tuesday's election as its own victory.
Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, speaker of Iran's parliament, framed the Democratic sweep as a referendum on American strength itself: “𝘊𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘤𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘴𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘈𝘮𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘯𝘴 𝘴𝘢𝘪𝘥 𝘕𝘖 𝘛𝘖 𝘞𝘈𝘙, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘸𝘦 𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘰𝘳𝘴𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘮𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘢𝘨𝘦.”
This is the same Ghalibaf who, since the recent U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran's nuclear and missile sites, has argued that 𝐖𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐨𝐧'𝐬 "𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐝𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞" collapsed in that war. Now he's reading a congressional election as proof he was right all along.
An adversary that just absorbed strikes on its own weapons program is treating a House and Senate flip as evidence that the United States has lost its nerve. That's not a Democratic talking point. That's a hostile regime grading our politics by how weak it thinks we've become.
Elections have consequences at home. They have an audience abroad too, and this one just told you exactly what Tehran heard.

Nick and Audrey Jones had fostered 𝐬𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐰𝐨 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬. Greg and Marianelly Schrock had cared for 𝟐𝟖 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐢𝐱 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬. Then the state told both families their faith made them unfit parents.
Massachusetts' Department of Children and Families required every foster parent to sign an agreement promising to affirm a child's stated gender identity, use chosen pronouns, and encourage medical transition if a child asked for it, no exceptions for religious conviction. The Joneses refused to sign. DCF moved to pull their license and take away their 𝟏𝟕-𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡-𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐝𝐚𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐞𝐫. The Schrocks' license was simply discontinued in June 2025 over their beliefs on sexuality and gender.
In September 2025, Alliance Defending Freedom sued DCF's leadership in federal court on behalf of both families, arguing the mandate violated their First and Fourteenth Amendment rights.
Three months later, the state folded. On 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟔, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓, DCF issued an emergency policy change stripping the gender-ideology mandate out of foster care licensing entirely, just as a preliminary injunction hearing was bearing down on it in court (𝘈𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘋𝘦𝘧𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘍𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘥𝘰𝘮).
Massachusetts didn't settle quietly behind closed doors. It rewrote a statewide licensing policy rather than defend it in front of a federal judge, because the policy was never going to survive contact with the Constitution.

The Associated Press called it Tuesday night: pediatrician 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐞 𝐀𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐰𝐬 has defeated Republican Darline Graham for the U.S. Senate seat, roughly 51 percent to 47 percent. It is the first Senate seat South Carolina has handed Democrats since 1998 — and Andrews becomes the first woman the state has ever elected to the chamber.
Graham, the late Senator Lindsey Graham's sister, was appointed to finish his term after he d∗ed suddenly in July. She won a bruising special GOP primary runoff in August, but her general-election campaign stumbled badly down the stretch, by multiple accounts, including conservative outlets covering her own state.
Andrews, a Charleston pediatrician, ran unsuccessfully for a U.S. House seat against Rep. Nancy Mace in 2022 before mounting this campaign. She had no prior elected office and no statewide name recognition going in.
Republicans have held this seat continuously since Strom Thurmond, through Lindsey Graham, through his sister. South Carolina was supposed to be unloseable for the GOP.
Republicans spent the cycle bracing for losses in Georgia and the House. 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐧𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐚𝐰 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠.

Miguel Urbano-Vazquez picked up 39-year-old Sharon Van Gilder at the Golden Rooster Tavern in March 2002. Hours later her 𝐧𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐝, 𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐨𝐝𝐲 was dumped on a county road, his DNA inside her.
He wasn’t finished. That June he lured a homeless woman hitchhiking to Seattle into a garage and beat her with a wrench while he r∗ped her. In August he and two other men r∗ped and beat a 29-year-old woman in the same garage. In October he slit a 40-year-old woman’s throat and r∗ped her in an alley.
DNA finally linked him to Van Gilder’s m∗rder in 2012 — ten years after he m∗rdered her. By then he had already been deported to Mexico. It took investigators until 2019 to find him and until March 2023 for the FBI to arrest him in a town outside Mexico City. He was extradited to Pierce County last year.
On Tuesday, 𝟐𝟒 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐡𝐞𝐫, a Pierce County jury convicted Urbano-Vazquez of aggravated first-degree m∗rder and three counts of r∗pe. The surviving victims — now in their 40s, 50s and 60s — testified in open court about the hours they spent being r∗ped and left for dead.

Ryan O’Shea was 21 years old. A senior at the University of New Haven, he was assistant captain of the club hockey team, president of his Kappa Sigma chapter, and an NYPD intern who dreamed of wearing the badge himself one day.
Just before midnight on October 16, driving home from a hockey game, O’Shea was hit head-on on I-91 in North Haven, Connecticut, by a pickup truck 𝐛𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐚𝐲 down the highway. The impact spun his car into oncoming lanes, where it was struck twice more. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
State police identified the driver as 31-year-old Guillermo Carmona-Lopez. DHS says he’s a Mexican national who was arrested by Border Patrol in 2013, issued a final order of removal, deported — and quietly re-entered the country at an unknown time and place. DHS’s own statement: 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘢 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘺 𝘢𝘷𝘰𝘪𝘥𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘨𝘦𝘥𝘺. 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘶𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘵𝘸𝘪𝘤𝘦 𝘥𝘦𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘩𝘢𝘥 𝘻𝘦𝘳𝘰 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯.

With Alaska's Senate race still on the ballot today, the Justice Department dramatically widened its criminal probe into the "𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐲 𝐃𝐚𝐧" scheme —the alleged Democrat plan to recruit a copycat candidate just to confuse voters and bleed votes from the real Sen. Dan Sullivan (R).
CNN reports 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝟒𝟎 𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐣𝐮𝐫𝐲 𝐬𝐮𝐛𝐩𝐨𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐬 and records-preservation notices went out by Wednesday evening, with more expected, after a New York Times report on Democrat Mary Peltola's campaign handed investigators evidence they hadn't had before. One DOJ official put it bluntly: “𝘚𝘶𝘥𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘰𝘱𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘳𝘪𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘤𝘢𝘴𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘮𝘶𝘤𝘩 𝘸𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘳.”
Trump didn't mince words about who he blames. Asked about the vanished copycat candidate: “𝘏𝘦 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸𝘴 𝘩𝘦'𝘴 𝘨𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘵𝘺. 𝘐𝘵'𝘴 𝘢 𝘧𝘳𝘢𝘶𝘥 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦. 𝘐𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘥𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘣𝘺 𝘚𝘤𝘩𝘶𝘮𝘦𝘳 —𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘭𝘢𝘸𝘺𝘦𝘳, 𝘔𝘢𝘳𝘤 𝘌𝘭𝘪𝘢𝘴, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘐 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘣𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘥 𝘤𝘳𝘪𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘱𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘣𝘭𝘦.”
Investigators are reportedly weighing federal civil rights charges over the scheme. Trump has separately said of Peltola and the decoy candidate himself: “𝘐 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘣𝘦 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘴𝘦𝘤𝘶𝘵𝘦𝘥.”
One Senate seat, and maybe the majority margin, may hinge on a race nobody can even agree was run fairly.

On Election Day, CNN put a microphone in front of Maine voters in the Senate race between Republican Susan Collins and Democrat Troy Jackson. One voter, speaking live on air, said: “𝘐 𝘷𝘰𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘚𝘶𝘴𝘢𝘯 𝘊𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘢𝘴𝘵. 𝘐 𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘥𝘰 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘳.”

It wasn’t the only voice in the segment. CNN’s reporter on the ground said many of the Jackson voters described their ballot as “𝘢 𝘷𝘰𝘵𝘦 𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘵 𝘚𝘶𝘴𝘢𝘯 𝘊𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘴” and “𝘢 𝘷𝘰𝘵𝘦 𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘵 𝘋𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘥 𝘛𝘳𝘶𝘮𝘱.” A Collins supporter in the same report said “𝘚𝘩𝘦’𝘭𝘭 𝘥𝘰 𝘢 𝘣𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘫𝘰𝘣.”
That is the whole Democratic pitch in one sound bite. The argument isn’t about Jackson’s record or what he’d do for Maine. It is 𝐚 𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐲-𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐯𝐨𝐭𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐟𝐥𝐢𝐩 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐞, with a senator these voters say they respect as the price.
CNN’s reporter also described the other side of it: Collins backers say she is the one bringing dollars back to the state of Maine. The polls close tonight, and Maine will decide whether a senator they admit they like is worth more than the party fight in Washington.
