Today in Berlin I met with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz (@_FriedrichMerz) to explore opportunities to expand cooperation between the UAE and Germany, particularly in the fields of the economy, innovation, technology, renewable energy, artificial intelligence, culture, and education. We also discussed regional and international developments and the importance of advancing sustainable peace in the region and around the world.

I had the pleasure of meeting with German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier in Berlin today to reaffirm the longstanding friendship between our two countries and discuss ways to further strengthen cooperation. The UAE-Germany partnership spans economic, cultural, and people-to-people ties, and we are committed to building on these foundations to deliver lasting opportunities for our nations and peoples.

Sincere congratulations to Italian Prime Minister @GiorgiaMeloni on her government becoming the longest-serving government in the history of the Italian Republic. Through her distinguished leadership, she has effectively contributed to Italy’s continued development while strengthening the prosperity of its people. In building upon our longstanding ties of cooperation and friendship, we remain committed to further deepening the UAE-Italy strategic partnership in service of the progress of our nations and peoples.

With the start of the new academic year, I extend my congratulations to students, teachers, administrators, and parents, and wish them a successful year that continues to support our nation’s educational journey. Our children are our true wealth, and I encourage them to embark on the new school year with optimism, ambition, and determination, making the most of every opportunity to gain knowledge and life skills. I also encourage continued cooperation between families and schools to foster a passion for lifelong learning, equip students with the skills of the future, and reinforce a strong sense of identity and values.

For the first time, these celebrations will extend to a full month this year in reflection of our gratitude for their outstanding contributions to the UAE’s continued development. Through their determination and inspiring vision for the future, Emirati women will forever remain a source of our collective strength and advancement.

On the anniversary of the birth of the Prophet (peace be upon him), we recall the values of mercy, goodwill, and unity that continue to define his legacy and inspire us as we pray to God to grant stability and peace to all peoples of the world.

On International Youth Day, we reaffirm our deep-rooted confidence in the youth of the UAE and underscore our pride in their ongoing contributions to our nation’s development. By embracing innovation and leadership, young people are central to achieving a future in which opportunity can grow for all. The UAE is determined to continue empowering youth as a lasting investment in the shared progress and prosperity of our world.

At today’s G7 Summit in France I engaged in talks addressing developments in the Middle East and the importance of ongoing international cooperation to safeguard regional and global peace and security. I thank President @EmmanuelMacron for the invitation to this vital forum and reaffirm the UAE’s continued focus on fostering strategic partnerships for a resilient, stable, and prosperous future for all.

On the occasion of Hijri New Year, I extend my warmest wishes to the people of the UAE and Muslims around the world. May the year ahead bring continued stability, growth, and progress to our region and the broader international community.

I was pleased to attend Make it in the Emirates 2026, where leaders, innovators, and experts came together to chart the future of industrial growth and economic resilience across our nation. Recognising the critical importance of fostering national ambition and readiness, the UAE will continue building strategic partnerships and investing in industry, artificial intelligence, and technology to strengthen local capabilities and global competitiveness.

As we mark 50 years since the unification of the UAE’s armed forces, I extend my deepest appreciation to the courageous men and women who continue to safeguard the security and stability of our nation and the safety of its people. Your unwavering dedication and sacrifice is a source of endless pride to everyone who calls the UAE home, and I congratulate you on the anniversary of this defining moment in our history.

May God have mercy on the late Salem Al Saman, who worked closely with the late Sheikh Zayed and contributed significantly to our nation’s economic transformation during the formative years of the UAE. I extend my sincere condolences to his family and loved ones.
