Eddie Howe is set to leave his position as Newcastle United head coach, with Matthias Jaissle of Al Ahli poised to replace him.
Howe decided to remain at St. James’ Park at the end of last season but has since had a change of heart and will depart in the coming days after five years in charge.
The situation is amicable and Newcastle are well prepared for his exit, with talks between Jaissle and the club at an advanced stage.

🔵 Jarrad Branthwaite is not part of Everton’s matchday squad for tonight’s pre-season friendly at Stoke City as part of his planned reintegration into the squad following the hamstring injury he sustained towards the end of last season.
The centre-back played the first half at Bolton Wanderers on Saturday and, as scheduled, will now continue full training at Finch Farm this week ahead of being involved in the Blues’ next friendly against Hamburger SV at Volksparkstadion on Saturday.

Everton are aware of interest in forward Iliman Ndiaye from Al Hilal, but there remains significant work to do to complete a deal.
The Saudi Arabian side have received enough encouragement from Ndiaye’s camp to consider a bid but talks are yet to begin between the clubs, with Everton expected to place a lofty valuation, similar to the £70million Barcelona paid Newcastle United this summer for Anthony Gordon, on a player who has three years remaining on his contract.
