I just noticed something kinda insane about @zksnarks_ ๐ญ
They sent 0.0001 ZEC to my shielded Zcash wallet with the memo.
Then I checked the transactionโฆ
0.0025 ZEC fee.
If they did the same for ~10,000 wallets, thatโs 25 ZEC in fees alone.
At ~$1,578/ZEC, thatโs roughly $39,450 just in transaction fees ๐
Plus the ZEC actually sent.
Spending ~$40K+ just to make sure the distribution is done properly and onchain is a pretty wild detail.
They really said: privacy has a price.
