To protect market integrity in our crypto up/down markets, we're updating how these markets resolve. What's changing: Starting August 7th at 12 am UTC, affected markets will no longer resolve based on a single snapshot-in-time price. Instead, resolution will use a time-weighted average price (TWAP), with the averaging window scaled to the length of the market (detailed below). Liquidity rewards: To support liquidity through this transition, we're adding $1M in liquidity rewards across all impacted markets through the month of August. CLOB release tomorrow at 12:10pm UTC As mentioned in our update earlier this week, this is one of the releases aimed at latency improvements. Expect a brief restart with up to ~10 minutes of downtime. Status updates:

Much of Polymarket's core trading infrastructure was built years ago and is now being rearchitected to handle today's scale. ClobV2 with deposit wallet was the top non-negotiable priority because it's what prevents ghost fills the added latency you've seen since v2 mostly comes from new order and wallet validation infrastructure. With that protection in place, reducing latency to the fastest we ever had it is now our single biggest focus. Over the next two weeks we have a series of releases dedicated to bringing latency down. Broadly, they target: - Rewriting one of the slowest internal steps in the order flow. - Smarter handling of activity bursts, aiming at reducing backed-up queues. - Reworking the order book and its data flow. The single biggest latency reduction in the plan. The first release in this series went live today. Expect the next latency releases toward the end of this week and next week.

Today's progress and releases: – Latency spam mitigations to safeguard order placement and cancels. – A patch for the "not enough balance / allowance" error, addressing one of the larger root causes of sell-limit failures. Status update. Working through the issues users have flagged. Current focus: - Order placement & cancel latency (P0): two fixes in flight. Spam mitigations + improved order intake (ETA Wednesday). More guardrails on top. - "Not enough balance / allowance" on limit sells (and some buys): multiple fixes shipped, first focused on buys. Major source of sell-limit issue identified with patch in QA, releasing tomorrow - Cancel orders right after a restart: shipping in next week's CLOB release. - 403 on API key creation: working directly with Cloudflare and pulling logs from impacted users. - PnL - Some users have been encountering fluctuating PnL. Position values and average prices should now be correct, and daily/weekly PnL will heal automatically at end of day and end of week UTC time. - Withdrawals failing with "something went wrong": down to a handful of accounts. Deposit-wallet deployment edge case. Ping our bug-report channel in Discord if you hit it. - Deposit wallet generated for users with an existing proxy/safe: edge case when the /users call fails.
