Hello, today I’m Wigan town centre where there is a massive fire and police operation due to a blaze at the John Bull Chophouse pub.

I’ve been told the collision was just before 9am and it involved the street sweeper. Residents say the pedestrian who was rushed to hospital was a man who looked to be in his“late 50s, early 60s.”
Police say the driver is supporting officers with their enquiries.

A person has suffered life changing injuries after they collided with a van. Resident say an air ambulance was called to the scene.
“We’ve heard that someone is a bad a way, I guess all you can do is hope for the best. It’s unfortunate,” a local said.
