Plot twist anyone you tell outside of the tech bubble hates you for your interest unless you manage to go into extreme detail to explain how you're not actually selling your soul to take peoples jobs and end all life on the planet. In the trains analogy its like if everyone thought trains actively hunted humans and wildlife for sport, while also taking their buggy driver jobs (which most of society is based on). And you have to explain that no, trains are inanimate and don't hunt anything. They are just a more efficient and fast way to get from A -> B and actually the buggy drivers have incredibly transferable skills and could all make more money and be more fulfilled by working on trains or becoming independent high-value specialized buggy drivers.
