If you have allegiance to another country, you do not get to run ours. We just introduced a constitutional amendment to make sure of it. No dual citizenship. No foreign allegiance. No one who holds loyalty to another country may serve in Congress, on the federal bench, as an Ambassador, or as President or Vice President of the United States. Unless they formally and permanently relinquish every last tie to the foreign country they came from first. The people making our laws, commanding our military, and sitting on our highest court should have one allegiance and one allegiance only: the United States of America. Washington has let this go unaddressed for too long. Foreign influence does not belong in the halls of American power and we want to write it into the Constitution permanently. This is about putting America FIRST.
