Cybercab test track testing underway again today, this time using stop lights as well as stop signs. Great look at the action in this video clip along with some maintenance of one Cybercab at the testing operations centers. I also noted more Cybercabs, a lot of Model Y’s and YL’s and new Cybertrucks at the outbound lot and End-of-Line on the west side of the highway today. Check it out and have a great weekend!

A big question about the Cybercab is how those butterfly doors will actually handle tight spaces 👀 This footage might give us a pretty good idea 💡 The pinch sensors are highly sensitive; just a hand on the edge is enough to stop the powered door mid-swing. From there, it stays partially open and allows for a simple manual override to push it shut 🆒 Paired with a hinge design that keeps the door tight to the body, this looks like a practical solution for tight spots 😎

I just got back from conference in Dallas and took a cybercab to and from the restaurant with no safety driver. It was 1/3 the cost of Uber and wait time was only 5 min. I had my boss with me in the back seat. Hisfirst time experiencing a Tesla. He was blown away. He filmed it.

Seems like Tesla has expanded the area where it’s testing driverless Cybercabs. Today, for the first time, we’ve seen multiple driverless Cybercabs outside the area where Tesla originally launched its Robotaxi service.

26 August 2026 Giga Texas Snapshots! Hot morning again, with plenty of production of Model Y’s, Model YLs, @cybertruck & Cybercabs coming out of the E factory exit! The outbound lot was busy taking in more vehicles from the factory & shipping them out on trailer trucks. On the S bank of the Colorado River, crews were finishing up work to pull a massive HDPE pope under the river and additional work near the Austin Energy power plant. The E Advanced Chip Fab foundation work continues with more heavily reinforced footings, GeoPiers and concrete pours. Nearby, the lined water retention pond was getting more liner material and some fill dirt placed on top of the liner. The W clearing near Tesla Road continues grade work as crews are working to raise and level the grade here for a future project. At the North Campus, the Optimus Factory continues growing larger & for the 1st time, crews are working on massive trenches for the underground water management loop, taking advantage of the on-site pipe fabrication setup. Footing work on the S end continues as well, including what may be foundation locations for Giga Presses (or similar). The E side exterior wall modifications on the main factory continues today too, with newly reconfigured concrete wall panels being installed where there was once large glass panels. Lots more to see today!
