This seems like a pattern of unawareness. Of course, there will be no recourse for Jimenez in this situation
Home plate umpire Emil Jimenez did not grant Julio Rodriguez his ABS challenge and threw out Mariners manager Dan Wilson.
Next half inning Jimenez doesn’t grant Jonathan Aranda his ABS challenge until third base ump Doug Eddings steps in.
Mariners fans have not stopped booing.

This isn't the first time that home plate ump Emil Jimenez has had issues with not granting challenges.
That seems like an accurate way to describe it
