I am truly sorry you lost 2 children through miscarriage.
But it’s distasteful to invoke that experience to dictate to others about their choice to have an abortion.
Would you rather put on a Dangerous Abortion Day and light up City Hall for that?

I make no apology for opposing plans to light up Belfast City Hall for “Safe Abortion Day”.
As a mother who has lost two children through miscarriage, this is deeply personal. I cannot support our civic building being used to promote abortion as healthcare by those who would have considered my babies as nothing more than clumps of cells 😡
“Safe” for whom? It is certainly not safe for the unborn child whose life is ended.
This decision must still come before the full Council, and I and my party colleagues will be voting against it.
